Divine Companion
FAQ
The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.
01When does the app launch?
+
It is out. Divine Companion is a free download on the App Store and on Google Play, in the United States, France and Romania, in English, French and Romanian.
Both versions are linked from the download page.
02What is free and what is paid?
+
Free forever: the verse and the saint of the day, the daily audio devotional, the Jesus Prayer, morning and evening prayers, one decade of the rosary a day, the prayer rope up to 33 knots, the complete offline Bible, the liturgical calendar and reminders.
The Companion subscription lifts the limits: more companion messages, unlimited rosaries and guided prayers, prayer rope of 50 / 100 / uncounted, night psalms with a sleep timer, and the full ambience mixer.
Companion is monthly, or yearly with 7 days free. The trial exists on the yearly plan only.
$4.99 a month, or $39.99 a year — the year costs a third less than twelve months. App Store prices; Apple adjusts them by country.
03How many messages can I send a day?
+
The offer described in the App Store includes 30 messages a day on the free plan and 100 with Companion. The counter resets daily. Check the limits shown in the app for your offer.
The Bible, the prayers and the calendar are never counted.
04How do I cancel?
+
Settings > your Apple Account > Subscriptions > Divine Companion > Cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for; you keep access until then.
On Android, open Google Play > your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions, then Divine Companion. Manage your subscription in the store where you purchased it.
05Does it work without internet?
+
Yes, for the essentials: the complete Bible, the guided prayers, the calendar and your journal live on the phone and work in airplane mode.
Only the companion needs the network, since the answer is generated on our servers.
06What happens to my conversations?
+
They are kept for 90 days on a server in Germany (EU), then deleted. Your prayer journal, bookmarks and settings never leave the phone.
You can export your data and delete your account, with everything attached to it, from Settings > Account. Deletion is immediate.
07Which calendar do you use?
+
Both. You choose your tradition when you install: Roman calendar, Byzantine calendar, or the two side by side — useful in mixed families.
Each tradition keeps its own Bible translations, and the app always names the edition you are reading.
